ABOUT
Destin Mizelle is a Counseling Psychology Doctoral candidate based in Lexington, KY at the University of Kentucky; however, never far removed from his roots in Atlanta, GA. Eager to start his professional work and research in Racial Socialization, he is unequivocally, a champion for systematically oppressed people and a voice for the disenfranchised.
As a proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Destin includes scholarship, fellowship, good character and uplifting of humanity in his body of work as a philanthropist and activist for his community. He understood how the transition from high school to college is often quite difficult and there are often an immense lack of resources and knowledge; therefore, he founded the "Dream Big Scholarship" dedicated exclusively to graduating seniors from Banneker High School, in College Park, Georgia. The Dream Big Scholarship has been able to give to three high school seniors and plans to help many more for years to come.
Destin has his hands in several dope projects including an upcoming book, international travel and the arts. He's always been a creative person; however, he has recently developed an affinity for painting with different mediums. His creativity also takes him all over the world, dedicating himself to exploring as an avid traveler and painting the world colorfully.
Join Destin in his efforts to continue to award the Dream Big Scholarship to rising seniors by donating toward the scholarship, information in the scholarship tab.
